Why Read My Mind Ltd Isn’t a Magic Shop
Mar 24, 2026
Every now and then I get emails asking the same question.
“Will this be back in stock?”
“Are you making more of these?”
It’s a fair question. Most magic and mentalism shops work in a very predictable way. Products come in, they stay available, and if something sells well, more are made.
Read My Mind Ltd doesn’t really work like that.
And it’s probably worth explaining why.
The truth is, Read My Mind was never intended to be a traditional shop. It isn’t a catalogue of tricks, downloads, and releases from multiple creators. It exists for a much simpler reason.
It’s where I choose to share my work.
I’m a creator first. That’s the part that drives everything. There isn’t a day that goes by where I’m not thinking about something - an idea, a method, a presentation, a product that could be pushed further. Most of those ideas never leave the notebook. Some get tested, refined, and worked into real routines. A very small number make it all the way through that process.
Those are the ones that end up on Read My Mind.
By the time something is released, it’s already been through a long period of development. It’s been tested, adjusted, stripped back, rebuilt, and used in the real world. What you’re seeing at that point isn’t just an idea. It’s something that’s earned its place.
And when it’s ready, I produce it once.
Usually in a small, limited run.
That’s not a marketing decision. It’s just how I prefer to work.
I’m not trying to fill a store with products. I’m not trying to reach the widest possible audience. I could release through larger dealers and scale things much further if I wanted to.
But that’s never really been the goal.
I like the idea that what I release is considered, finite, and personal. Small production runs allow me to focus on quality, on detail, and on creating tools that feel a little more unique than something mass produced and widely available.
It also means that when something sells out, it’s usually gone.
Not because I’m holding it back. Just because that chapter of the project is finished.
There will always be new ideas. New projects. New things being worked on quietly in the background. That process never really stops. Sometimes I return to a project, if I find an area for improvement that can be implemented.
Read My Mind Ltd is simply where those ideas surface when they’re ready.
So if you’ve ever wondered why something isn’t restocked, or why there aren’t endless pages of products to browse, that’s the reason.
It’s not designed to be everything.
It’s designed to be intentional.
